TGV – France ’s high-speed train links Paris to several major cities in France and the rest of Europe.
Eurostar – Provides 3 hour fast train service between Paris and London via the tunnel linking France to England (Gare du Nord in Paris and Waterloo station in London).
Taxis – When in service, the white “taxi” sign is illuminated. When occupied, a small orange light is displayed. Taxis line up at taxi stands near intersections and metro stations. Reserving a taxi by phone or at the hotel reception desk works better than hauling a taxi on the street. Drivers limit passengers to three at a time and can charge extra for excess baggage.
